Bellmere is a residential suburb in its eastern part and rural countryside elsewhere, immediately south-west of Caboolture. It is bounded on the east and south by the Caboolture River, and extends about nine km west to Wamuran. Its northern boundary is the Wamuran Creek. A State primary school functioned from 1913 to 1936.
