Hillcrest

Hillcrest is a residential suburb of Logan City, 22 km south of Central Brisbane. Originally part of Browns Plains, it was formally named in 1987. It is bounded on the north and east by the Parkinson Bushland and Mount Lindesay Highway respectively. The name, possibly given by a real estate developer, was probably inspired by the rise in the south-east of the suburb where there are reservoirs and a water tower (1984).
