Kewarra Beach

Kewarra Beach is 20 km north-west of central Cairns, and the location of the Kewarra Beach Resort.

A former sugar cane growing area, Kewarra Beach developed during the 1980s-90s. Trinity Anglican College obtained a large site and opened its campus in 1983. Another large site was taken for the Paradise Palms golf course on the west of the Captain Cook Highway. It is adjoined on the north and south sides by residential developments, one of them allied with the golf course.
