Blackall-Tambo Regional Council

Blackall-Tambo Regional Council was formed in 2008 by the amalgamation of Blackall and Tambo Shires. Its area is 30,489 sq km, and the town of Blackall (the regional council's headquarters) is 500 km south-west of Rockhampton. Blackall-Tambo Regional Council's eastern and western boundaries are in the vicinities of Carnarvon National Park and the railway line just short of Emmet. Its southern limit is at the same latitude as Augathella.
