Highvale

Highvale, a rural-residential suburb in Pine Rivers shire, is 25 km north-west of central Brisbane and between Samford Village and Mount Glorious.

Land at Highvale was subdivided in the early 1900s and a model dairy farm known as The Highlands was acquired after World War I for farms. It is thought that the name of the model farm was the origin of 'Highvale'. Bananas were the main crop until affected by disease in the late 1920s.
