Twin Waters

Twin Waters, a coastal suburb on the north side of the mouth of the Maroochy River, is 95 km north of Brisbane. It was originally part of Mudjimba and the coastal locality of Ningerry Beach (a name now discarded).

Twin Waters is mostly a canal estate built beside the Novatel Resort golf club (1990) and the resort hotel which is nearer the beach and a coastal lagoon. The lagoon is enclosed by the Maroochy River conservation park, and the entry of canal waters to the Maroochy River is regulated by a weir.
