Underwood

Underwood, a residential suburb on the Pacific Motorway, Logan City, is 18 km south-east of central Brisbane. It was named after William Underwood, publican and postmaster, who had a property in Rochedale Road (Rochedale South) between Underwood and Springwood Roads. His son, William, farmed near the corner of Logan and Underwood Roads in the 1930s. The suburb was gazetted in 1975.
