Wonga Beach

Wonga Beach, a beach and resort town, is 15 km north of Mossman, overlooked by the Daintree National Park.

The town is flanked by both beach and wetlands, and is a popular tourist and recreational fishing destination, its economy bolstered by aquaculture industries. The beach is best for walking: stingers and box jellyfish populate the waters, and crocodiles can be found in the approach to the mouth of the Daintree River.
