Wulguru

Wulguru is a residential suburb, eight km south of central Townsville. The name was derived from the name of the Aboriginal language group, Wulgurukaba, of the Cleveland Bay (Townsville) area.

Wulguru is on the Flinders Highway (Stuart Drive), opposite the Cluden racecourse. There are two hotel-motels on the highway and a caravan park where the highway crosses the Bruce Highway. The suburb extends west from the Flinders Highway towards Mount Stuart.
